EVENTS & COMMUNICATIONS SUPERVISOR

JOB SUMMARY

As the Events & Communications Supervisor, you'll take the reins on managing event logistics while supporting several of our external facing communication channels. You'll lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of all Ed Partners events, from remote gatherings to onsite events, alongside supervising event support staff. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing our external communications through various platforms, ensuring our message reaches stakeholders effectively.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

EVENT MANAGEMENT 

  • Collaborate with Program staff to coordinate logistics for meetings and events, from RSVPs to venue arrangements.
  • Plan and execute details for program convenings and internal organizational events, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Manage vendor relationships and maintain an up-to-date database for efficient logistical support.
  • Supervise internal event support staff, ensuring high-quality assistance during all events.
  • Utilize Salesforce and Eventbrite platforms to manage event logistics and attendee management efficiently.
  • Develop annual reports on event expenditures for informed decision-making.

EVENT SUPPORT

  • Provide pre-meeting support and assist in material organization and delivery.
  • Attend organizational events to build vendor relationships and enhance future event planning strategies.
  • Handle conflicts or issues promptly to ensure event success and participant satisfaction.
  • Conduct evaluations and provide reports on event outcomes to internal staff.

COMMUNICATIONS SUPPORT

  • Ensure accuracy and relevance of information on external-facing platforms.
  • Plan and execute improvements to external platforms in alignment with communication strategy.
  • Maintain and update email lists, and support the production and dissemination of external communications.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Communications to manage social media presence and enhance brand identity.
  • Coordinate with vendors for the production of promotional items, aligning with brand guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ROLE

  • Background and experience in Events Management.
  • Valid California driver's license and willingness to travel frequently.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and ability to learn new software platforms.
  • Experience in Graphic Design preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This position is a full time, salaried position. Full time employees are eligible for the following benefits: 

  • Competitive compensation: $90,000 - 100,000 DOE
  • Flexible Paid Time Off 
  • Medical, Dental, Vision – Fully Paid 
  • 401K – up to 6% match
