Job Summary
Under supervision, perform a variety of paraprofessional instructional and clerical activities
as directed by a certificated teacher in a special education classroom comprised of students, ages 12 to 22, with severe developmental or physical delays, and/or emotional, educational, or behavioral problems; and perform all other related duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
Instructional Assistants/Paraeducators, whether general education or special education, are required by law to be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and the ability to assist with, instruction, reading/language arts, and mathematics, either by possessing an Associate's Degree or higher, 48 semester college units, or passing a minimum proficiency exam.
