Summary Description :

• Drives a school bus on a designated route, following an established time schedule. Picks up and drops off students at designated bus stops.
• Operates the bus in accordance with all state laws and district guidelines
• Transports students and staff on various educational field trips, recreational trips and athletic trips.
• Establishes and maintains a safe, orderly atmosphere on the bus and clearly communicates the rules and expectations to students
• Performs a daily vehicle inspection report including reporting any mechanical defects (DVIR)
• Maintains the cleanliness of the bus (interior and exterior)
• Completes all documentation and reports for field trips.
• Communicates professionally with parents or guardians as well as with district staff.
• Participates in regular safety training as well as various in-service training requirement.

Qualifications :

• Valid California Driver's License, Class A or B with passenger endorsement
• Valid California Special School Bus Certificate (DL-45)
• Current FMCSA Medical certificate
• Current First Aid Certificate
• CHP background check (Live Scan)
• Negative drug test (will be added to random pool for regular drug testing.
• Letter(s) of Recommendation (3)
• Resume
