Description

About the Role:

We are looking for an AM intern to join our team and aid us with various AM tasks and projects. You will work closely with our SVP of Asset Management and learn about aspects of AM operations, such as portfolio analytics, business plans, operation performance, performance benchmarks, vacancy analysis, and etc. You will also have the opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge to real-world scenarios and contribute to the Asset Management department’s goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis: Assist in conducting financial analysis for potential real estate investments, including cash flow projections, valuation models, and return on investment calculations.

  • Market Research: Research and analyze local real estate markets to identify trends, opportunities, and potential rent increases. Provide market intelligence to support decision-making processes.

  • Data Management: Organize and maintain databases related to property performance and financial records. Ensure accuracy and completeness of data.

  • Property Inspections: Participate in property inspections and assessments to evaluate physical conditions, maintenance needs, and compliance with regulations.

  • Assist in preparing and reviewing legal documents, lease agreements, and contracts related to real estate transactions. Ensure all documentation is accurate and in compliance with company policies.

  • Communication: Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather information, communicate updates, and contribute to effective decision-making processes.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Basic understanding of real estate principles is a plus.

Duration and Schedule:

This internship is a 3 to 6-month opportunity, with flexible start and end dates. The intern is expected to work 25-30 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours as needed.
