Under the general supervision of the Accounting Administrator (AA) II of the Accounting Branch, The Receipt and Disbursement Section. The AA I (Supervisor) directs (5) professional staff in the Collection, Cashiering & Payroll Section. The unit activities include collecting monies/fees owed to California Air Resources Board (CARB) and Office of the Secretary for Environmental Protection (CalEPA), payroll, overpayments of CARB and CalEPA employees. Processing of monies through checks, wire transfer and the Automated Clearing House (ACH) process. The AA I (Supervisor) liaises with other Boards and departments. Coordinates and resolves the most complex multi-BDO issues. Prepares the more complex reports for management. Crosstrain’s staff directly assists the other managers and supervisors in the accounting branch.

Working Conditions

The positions at the CARB may be eligible for telework with in-person attendance based on the operational needs of the position under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program need. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of hybrid telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the position’s designated headquarters location at their own expense, as indicated on their duty statement.
