About the Job:

The Process Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling site related maintenance activities. They will ensure that the correct parts are available when maintenance activities are scheduled. They will provide input and guidance for the process maintenance crew, contractors, process and mine operations, and the technical services group to achieve the planned goals and targets. This is a salaried, exempt position.

The Essentials of the Position:

Operations and Safety Support:

Demonstrate a personal commitment to working safely as an advocate and leader of a safe work culture for all employees;

Support the site safety culture through leadership and regularly engaging with and holding the workforce accountable for safe work practices;

Conduct field walks to determine the scope of work;

Identify specific safety hazards that may be encountered in the execution of the work and ensure that confined space, ventilation and other conditions requiring FLRA, JSA and internal work permits are included in the plan prior to initiating efforts;

Responsible for maximizing the mechanical availability of all plant equipment;

Provide maintenance and plant equipment performance reports;

Screen incoming work orders for priority, scope and level of planning required;

Identify individual task, estimated labor and skills required as well as tools and special needs related to work orders;

Build and maintain Bill of Materials for repetitive scheduled maintenance efforts;

Prepare daily and weekly work plans, schedule and facilitate maintenance planning meetings;

Create or prepare requisitions and validate materials for planned jobs;

Interface with supply chain regarding the purchase of spares, repairs and warranty issues;

Assist in keeping track of any inventory parts on site;

Compile a component wear life summary and assist with department budgets and forecasts;

Ensure that all safety procedures and regulatory guidelines are followed;

Participate in health and safety meetings and risk reviews as required:

What we would like to see in an applicant:

Minimum of five (5) years of plant mechanical maintenance experience, prior maintenance planning experience required;

Experience with U.S. Mining Regulatory Agencies;

Familiarity with maintenance procedures, including preventive non-destructive diagnostic methodologies, repair and machinery functions in an industrial environment;

Ability to communicate with technical specialists and to interpret technical drawings and specification documents;

Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills;

Ability to work well with others required including process operations, technical specialists, site operators, supply chain and other departments as needed;

Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions of position is required;

A passion for innovative concepts that can transform the business;

General knowledge of health & safety, mining, maintenance and accounting functions;

Knowledge of all phases of gold processing as it pertains to associated equipment;

Knowledge and experience developing policies and procedures for the organization;

Advanced computer skills applying Microsoft Office;

Able to work independently;

Extensive cross functional budgeting expertise;

Strong verbal, written, analytical and communication skills with an ability to interact at all levels within the company.
