This PSB position provides expert advice on leave programs, Civil Service Pay Scales, salary, and develops, issues and provides guidance on Section I Pay Letters. This position will also research, advise, write, and revise CalHR policies based on laws, rules, and memorandum of understanding.

Under the general supervision of the Personnel Services Branch (PSB) Personnel Program Manager II (PPM II), the Staff Personnel Program Analyst (SPPA) is responsible for providing consultation and policy guidance to departments on the statewide administration of leave programs for PSB. Functions also include pay letter development and research. The PSB provides policy and consultation to state departments on appropriate salary and leave determinations and the administration of the State Restriction of Appointment (SROA) program. This position will report to the PSB PPM II for general supervision/training.
