Overview:

Please note: This is a contractor/1099 position and will be paid out at the end of the month.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance to join our team. As a Janitor/Maintenance, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the overall upkeep of our facilities. This is a crucial role in maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for our employees and visitors.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming

- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas

- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners

- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished

- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed

- Monitor building security and report any suspicious activities or safety hazards

- Follow established safety protocols and use protective equipment when necessary

- Assist with setting up meeting rooms or event spaces as requested

- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and maintenance standards

Skills:

- Experience in floor care, including buffing and waxing

- Knowledge of custodial practices and commercial/industrial cleaning techniques

- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and carpet cleaners

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may involve lifting heavy objects or standing for extended periods
