Position function : Reporting to the Supply Chain Supervisor., the individual will be responsible to coordinate replenishment and support other areas of the business in an administrative and operational function to ensure the Chicago region meets and exceed customer needs.

Scope : The Replenishment Specialist will monitor inventory levels for stock products and products that have been committed and require to be ordered.

The individual will provide support to other areas of the business including Customer Service, Sales, A / P, A / R, IT and Operations.

This position requires a high level of coordination and problem solving with suppliers, third party carrier and internal departments to ensure regional activities consistently meet customer needs for the region.

MAJOR TASKS AND DUTIES :

• Must be familiar with processes and procedures for replenishment of inventory to meet Procurement strategies & goals including high turn within the department and the targeted fill rate to meet customer needs
• Manage the Critical Inventory of select vendors and determine items required to be reordered; report must be reviewed on a daily basis
• Review current inventory available and quantities committed to assess purchase order requirements
• Responsible to create and release purchase orders while balancing customer needs (quantities / delivery dates and procurement / replenishment strategies (ie. Min / max levels)
• Work closely with production and customer service on a daily basis to discuss upcoming work orders and any potential issues that may affect required delivery dates
• Coordinate, follow up and confirm delivery of products with logistics carriers; validate and process related documentation (Customs, Certificate of Analysis)
• Advise and resolve credits from suppliers for damaged or incorrect shipment of products
• Assist with investigation and support in customer complaints and supplier NCR’s; Help to provide solutions to resolve
• Customer Service / Sales duties :
• Provide prompt and continuous follow up to Customer and Sales team to ensure delivery commitments are met; Receipt of order confirmations to be sent to customer
• Invoices buy / sell orders that ship from other locations, other than the Elgin warehouse
• Deal directly with customers by telephone and / or electronically to provide information regarding product availability, confirm pricing through supplier and / or CDM, specifications and estimated time / date of delivery

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :

• Post-Secondary Education in Business Admin or related field
• Knowledge of Purchasing / Supply Chain management
• Must have effective Customer Service and interpersonal Skills
• Must have strong organization skills
• Must have strong communication (verbal and written) skills
