The Calculus Roundtable seeks creative and knowledgeable part-time Professional STEM Tutors to provide math and science academic support for our diverse groups of elementary, middle and high school students. The CR Professional STEM Tutor will provide individual and small group support to cohorts of elementary, middle and high school aged students .

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Tutor/assist students with math concepts.

• Encourage students to develop a systematic approach to studying that will serve them throughout their math sequence.

• Maintain ongoing communication with and between students, parents and Program Manager.

• Get familiar with Calculus Roundtable’s pedagogy and methodology

• Assume distance learning classroom management duties.

• Attend training sessions and meetings, when necessary.

• Perform other duties consistent with the position of a Professional STEM Tutor.

REQUIREMENTS:

• CR Professional STEM Tutors must be a current or recently graduated college student, a professional from a relevant STEM industry seeking career change, or be certified by the State of California in Middle School Math and High School Math.

• CR Professional Tutors should also have tutoring experience and/or experience in the field of education.

• The individual must possess the ability to work with students, staff, and faculty, of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, racial and ethnic backgrounds, including those with different levels of academic preparation and varying physical and learning abilities.

HOURS: Positions are non-benefited, hours are part time between the hours of approximately 10:30 am to 6:00pm on selected days Monday through Friday.
