Work responsibilities:

· Cut and shape tile to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces and corners, using hand and power cutting tools.

· Cut tile, stone, or other masonry materials.

· Align and straighten tile using levels, squares, and straightedges.

· Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled, following blueprints.

· Study blueprints and examine surface to be covered to determine amount of material needed.

· Mix, apply, and spread plaster, concrete, mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives to form a bed for the tiles using trowel.

· Apply mortar to tile back, position the tile, and press or tap with trowel handle to affix tile to base.

· Mix substances or compounds needed for work activities.

· Remove and replace cracked or damaged tile.

· Clean surfaces in preparation for work activities.

· Remove worn, damaged or outdated materials from work areas.

· Lift 50-75 Lbs

· Grouting during the installation of new tile on medical surfaces

• Keeping a clean and tidy work space
• Account for and return all equipment and tools
• Uphold all company policies and procedures.
• Other tasks as assigned

Recommended Experience:

• 2 years of tile installation experience (required)
• 1 year grouting experience (required)
