Calaveras Cantina is Hiring a General Manager Near Jupiter, FL

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced General Manager (GM) to Lead our Calaveras Cantina Team at our Jupiter location in Harbourside Place. The GM is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant while leading and developing our Team. Coaching and mentoring is a critical responsibility of the GM. The GM will ensure the highest level of quality food and service by implementing policies and procedures set forth by the company, while maintaining a positive attitude and promoting a fun work environment.

The GM will directly oversee the Management Team and will be responsible for managing and delegating AORs in each department. The GM will ensure that all budgeted goals are being met or exceeded, and all safety and sanitation regulations are being adhered to. The GM will also oversee costs and inventory with the assistance of the AGM and the rest of the management Team. The GM will work directly with the Head Chef to ensure proper communication from the Culinary Team to the Service Team. The GM will work closely with the owner and Management Team to ensure all facets of the restaurant are functioning properly and efficiently while maintaining the integrity of the Team.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Operations

· Manage all restaurant operations including scheduling, planning, and forecasting while upholding service standards, product quality, and cleanliness

· Oversee weekly and end of month inventories

· Perform pre-shift meetings that are informative and inspiring with a focus on on-going training to maintain consistency in product and service standards

· Resolve issues quickly and efficiently with the best interest of the
Company and our Team Members in mind

· Communicate regularly with Team Members about goals and expectations

· Lead by example and be transparent at all times

· Identify leaders and develop them; utilize your leaders to help uphold standards and set examples

· Set clear goals, providing constant feedback with effective counseling and coaching

· Communicate and administer all Company policies and procedures

· Maintain adequate staffing levels for FOH Departments

· Ensure new Team Members are onboard properly and all documents are recorded properly

· Develop relationships with vendors and ensure best pricing

· Work directly with the AGM and Head Chef on labor forecasting and set sales goals

· Prepare reports and identify opportunities to improve margins and costs

· Utilize software systems in place

· Think outside the box; be creative and innovative when tackling challenges

· Share ideas for improvement

· Work with the other Managers to identify solutions quickly

· Always be looking for ways to improve overall performance and efficiency

Service

· Interact with Guests and maintain a presence on the floor

· Promote hospitality and exceed service standards, ensure every Guest leaves happy

· Solicit Guest feedback and report it back to the team

· Ensure guest satisfaction and resolve problems with the Guest’s best interest in mind

· Ensure the culture of the restaurant by leading with the companies guiding principles – quality service, quality products, quality atmosphere!

· Adhere to Federal, State, and local laws in addition to company policies, and hold Team Members accountable

· Become familiar with the service training program and ensure the quality of training

· Prepare and conduct performance appraisals for Managers

· Work with other managers directly to delegate tasks; do so responsibility and maintain accountability always

· Ensure proper cash handling and payment processing procedures

· Comply with OSHA, local health, and safety codes as well as company safety and security policies

· Emphasize safety, sanitation and security awareness, and ensure that Team Members are properly trained to uphold these standards

· Assist Team Members on the floor at all times during service ensuring that they are supported throughout the shift

· Ensure that Team Members are maintaining side work and that the restaurant is “tour ready” at all times from front to back

· Coach, encourage and mentor Team Members daily to be the best they can be

· Promote a positive work environment that is respectful and inviting
