Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable Courier to join our team. As a Courier, you will be responsible for transporting clients in a safe and timely manner to their designated appointments.

Responsibilities:

• Inputting the scheduled appointments into same page calendar or other calendar system.
• Ensure accuracy of Physician Appointment forms and prepare prior to appointments (this includes insurance cards, etc…), this also includes advanced notification for staff to have instructions, such NPOs and where to bring them for an appointment.
• Transporting and attending consumer appointment.
• Assist in monitoring the trainings provided by the nurse and schedule retraining when determined it is necessary.
• Filing of medical paperwork in the appropriate section of the chart to be completed at least once weekly.
• Assist the nurse with managing medical needs.
• Assist the Nurse with medication check in.
• Ensure that labs and weights are completed, as scheduled and communicate information to the nurse.
• Check-in and distribute Medicaid Cards.
• Clerical duties as assigned by the nurse(s)
• Interfacing with physicians and medical office staff in a professional manner.
• Schedule appointments as needed.
• Emergency medical on-call.

All other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record
• Writing and communication skills
• Strong computer skills including knowledge of Excel
• Experience with special needs and IDD individuals
• Ability to communicate with and assist all consumers’ ability to read, write and converse in English and in a professional manner
• Ability to drive a large wheelchair van
• Compassion and Empathy
• Flexible - Some after hours as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
