**Job Overview:** As a Development Director, you will play a crucial role in spearheading fundraising efforts and cultivating relationships to support the organization's mission and growth. You will be responsible for developing strategies to secure funding.

**Responsibilities:**

• Design, implement and oversee all fundraising activities, not including events
• Manage all strategies and activities for individual donor cultivation, solicitation and relations
• Maintain and analyze database of gifts and grants; utilizes to develop a stewardship plan
• Provide reports relating to development, including fundraising goals
• Work collaboratively with professional maturity with major donors, board, staff and volunteers
• Search and seek prospective grants that align with the Cal’s Angels mission
• Keep apprised of relevant news/changes in corporate, foundation and individual giving communities
• Write letters of intent, inquiry, grant proposals.
• Research, engage and manage potential corporate partnerships for volunteer engagement
• Manage, plan and act as primary contact for athletic events.
• Help create strategy to engage stakeholders, raise awareness and build donor engagement.
• Enhance the image of Cal’s Angels by being active in the community and working closely with other professional, civic and private organizations
• Assists in the marketing and distribution of all fundraising related events
• Works closely with the Director of Special Events to collaborate new ideas for revenue streams
• Seek, implement and maintain a standard CRM system for donor data
• Cultivate support among community stakeholders for acquiring new business and ensuring donor retention
• Build out thoughtful and dynamic cross-functional strategies to propel the company forward through short and long-term initiatives
• Work with marketing to conceptualize and plan creative content and campaigns that bolster the organization’s growth
• Identify new donor opportunities and implement long-term business plans to capitalize on them
• Manage donor relations, including stewardship and cultivation strategies
• Lead grant writing and proposal development efforts
• Coordinate fundraising events and campaigns
• Utilize email marketing and social media management for donor engagement
• Conduct research on potential donors and funding opportunities
• Collaborate with the team on strategic planning initiatives
• Oversee public relations activities related to fundraising efforts

**Experience:** -

• Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, and event planning
• Strong background in email marketing, social media management, and public relations
• Excellent research skills to identify potential donors and funding sources
• Proficiency in software applications related to fundraising activities
• Ability to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve fundraising targets
