Santa Barbara Surf School is hiring surf instructors for our Spring and Summer season! We will be hiring in March, April, and May. Don't wait! Our spots fill up fast. We need someone responsible, organized, energetic and that has a love of surfing. Must be very energetic and attentive when giving lessons. Must have a clean driving record. Must be someone that has a minimum of 5 years of surfing experience.
The right candidate must have the following for the role of surf instructor:
- 3 days a week available with weekend availability
- Clean driving record: parking tickets are ok.
- Upbeat and happy personality
- Be organized
- 5 years surfing experience - meaning you've surfed for at least 5 years, not necessarily teaching.
- Flexible
- Great people skills (WE ARE VERY CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED)
- Must be active
- Always on time
Pay: $18/hr plus tips. Payscale can move up with time.
Surf Instructor Job Duties:
- Leading Surf lessons
- Safety orientation
- Daily set up and tear down; general cleaning after lessons
- Renting to customers
- Customer Service
