OVERVIEW

Cajun Industries Holdings, LLC is currently seeking a Programmer Analyst to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have two to five years of coding experience. This position will require strong technical skills in order to build and maintain simple custom websites and/or software for internal purposes. Relevant programming languages include VB.NET, SQL, C#, React.js, and JavaScript. SQL knowledge is critical. Candidate must also have strong communication skills in order to collaborate with internal employees on software requirements. General IT knowledge and willingness to learn is key. Experience in Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a plus.

SUMMARY OF ENVIRONMENT

Working in an IT team in Baton Rouge in a support capacity for Cajun. Responsible for writing/maintaining code for custom software, integrating with 3rd party data, and assisting all internal departments with their programming and database needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Internal Web programming
  • Internal Business Application development
  • Custom program maintenance
  • Strong communications skills – working with internal employees and additional programmer on projects
  • Mandatory: Database queries/maintenance in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • Custom report writing in Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A love of programming, databases, and great with people.
  • Living near Baton Rouge, Louisiana or willing to move.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) from four-year college or university in one of the following: Computer Science, ISDS, IT, Math, Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 2-5 years experience programming (ReactJS, JavaScript, C#, C , VB.NET, HTML5, CSS, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio - writing, editing, and maintaining SQL queries
