Job Description & Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse and sanitize all pans, pots, utensils, and dishes daily in 3 compartment sink
• Clean 3 compartment sinks daily and ensure that they are completely sanitized with nothing left in them at the end of each shift.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain all equipment, ovens, hot box, tables daily, everything must be clean at the end of each shift daily leaving no dirty dishes or equipment
• Organize equipment, utensils, chafers and cooking supplies properly
• Empty trash and recycling containers daily
• Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping daily
• Perform additional cleaning duties as requested and following the daily, weekly and monthly cleaning charts provided by Manager On Duty
• 1 year of previous experience in a restaurant and/or culinary experience in a high volume, full service restaurant, hotel or catering company
• Time management and organizational ability required for high quality food production.
• Ability to work with minimal direction or supervision to complete assigned tasks
• Able to multitask in a dynamic, and fast paced environment.
• Flexible schedule, able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
• Receive, Label and FIFO food inventory if need
• Deliver food to contracted facilities, events or venues spaces.
• Help prepare and package food for events if needed
• Assist kitchen staff in preparing food or assembling if needed
• Build and load catering set-ups for events, metal chafers, warmer kits, dinnerware, glassware as directed by Manager On Duty
• Valid Servsafe and City of Chicago Sanitation License (Requirement) or Food Handlers License. (A Servsafe Managers License is required after 30 days of employment.
• Valid Driver’s License required
