We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Storage Engineer/Project Manager for the data center. This resource should be experienced with Dell Powerflex - all the different SAN solutions are moving to this product line as part of the digital modernization.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Project Manager to join our IT team. This position will be full-time, hybrid, and is a 12-month contract position with possible extension.
Candidates must be located in DC metro (DC proper, Prince Georges/Montgomery County MD, Northern Va - This is very important)
What You'll Do

• Analyzes user requirements, technical specifications, and existing technical architecture designs to develop and oversee implementation of architecture for Infrastructures
• Work as part of Enterprise SAN Team in supporting and enhancing wide enterprise storage and SAN solutions. (PMAX NVMe, Powerflex systems, Dell Unity systems, ISILONNAS storage, Brocade Director switches X7, FC over IP, dark fiber network smartoptics)
• Work with SAN Systems, holds critical application data for Fare Collection, Maximo, Documentum, Cognos, Smart trip, OHAW, DFS Shares, People Soft, SOA, Hyperion, BUS, Cleaver CAD etc.
• Support Powerflex product implementation (installation and configuration)
• Migration of data to new powerflex arrays from existing PMAXarrays between sites
• Support the migration of ESXi infrastructure from Dell PowerEdge to Powerflex arrays
• Administration and implementation of SAN fabric fiber channel switches (Brocade X7 switches, G630 switches) DWDM optics, FC over IP between sites, Dark fiber connections between sites
• Data erasure on PMAX arrays, Dell compellent and ISILON located at Mill Rd
• Decommission SAN infrastructure (ISILON, PMAXarrays, Brocade switches) after CTF shutdown
• Implementing and Migrating the Hosts from regular fiber channel to NVMe over fabric
• Support implementation of Business continuity and Disaster recovery solutions for all the applications
• Design and implement disaster recovery solutions for WMATA applications using SAN infrastructure services like SRDF Metro and SANnav tool implementation
• Provision, configure, and monitor storage accounts in Azure cloud
• Supporting all Existing/New projects (e.g. Next Fare, Faregate, Hyperion) which needs storage resources and services
• Administration and Implementation of Storage arrays (Powermax NVMe storage, Dell Unity systems, Powerflex systems)
• Maintenance and support of hardware failures at EQX and CTFlocation (Powermax NVMe storage, SAN network switches, Dell Unity systems, Quantum Tape library, IBM power frames, Oracle, Powerflex systems)
• Monitor and resolve issues for SAN network switches and storage arrays using Dell CloudIQ portal
• Supporting ESXI and VDI upgrades and expansions
• Supporting AIX and RHEL OS storage requests and expansions
• Enhancements and upgrades of PMAX NVMe Arrays
• Troubleshoot SAN connectivity issues
• Maintenance and support on ISILON arrays
• Running SAN fiber patch panel connections to provide SAN connectivity for servers, Tape library and storage array
• Implementation of structured fiber cable infrastructure
• Isolating fabric for backup purpose. Supporting Enterprise backup new infrastructure
• Support Enterprise Backup Application (IBM Spectrum Protect TSM) Enhancements and upgrades, Support back up fabric and fiber connections
• Support Disaster Recovery Test of IBM Spectrum Protect Application
• Dell Unity storage Systems Firmware upgrades and support hardware
• Design Implement Ansible for automating processes/jobs.

What You'll Need

• 6 years' experience implementing and managing Storage arrays (Powermax NVMe storage, Dell Unity systems, Powerflex systems
• 6 years' experience managing hardware failures at EQX and CTF location (Powermax NVMe storage, SAN network switches, Dell Unity systems, Quantum Tape library)
• 6 years' experience managing SAN network switches and storage arrays using Dell CloudIQ portal
• 6 years' experience supporting ESXI and VDI upgrades and expansions
• 6 years' experience AIX and RHEL OS storage requests and expansions
• 5 years' experience with Enhancements and upgrades of PMAX NVMe Arrays
• 6 years' experience with Enterprise Backup Application (IBM Spectrum Protect TSM) Enhancements and upgrades, Support back up fabric and fiber connections

Physical Demands
