Position Summary:

Assists the Public Safety Manager / Assistant Manager in managing, coordinating, and monitoring all aspects of casino security and safety operations. Leading the staff in creating a safe and secure environment for employees and guests. Complies with and ensures that staff follows all governmental laws and regulations, casino and departmental policies and procedures, Minimum Internal Control standards, and tribal gaming commission regulations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the supervision and performance of the public safety team members on an assigned shift. Evaluate team members on job performance.
• Development of staff through training, disciplinary and evaluations.
• Mitigate and react to disruptive behavior and activity including warnings, exclusions, apprehensions, etc.
• Ensure all company standard operating procedures, gaming regulations, federal regulations are being followed.
• Works directly with guests, Player Development, Casino Management, and other departments to always ensure a high level of guest service.
• Create reports and other documentation to ensure incidents are recorded and communicated properly.
• Be knowledgeable of all property amenities, promotions, and events to assist with guest inquiries.
• De-escalate situations and resolve conflict.
• Collects team member performance data and timely prepares and issues feedback in accordance with company and department policies.
• Maintains a working knowledge of all DPS processes, systems, and applications.
• Performs all related and compatible duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in Casino Operations preferred. Security or law enforcement experience highly desired.
• OSHA 10 certification within 90 days of employment.
• Exceptional communication and de-escalation skills required
• Must have thorough knowledge of all Security Operations procedures and laws.
• California State Drivers License, Cahuilla Tribal Gaming Agency License, California Department of Consumers Affairs, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services Guard Registration.
• Maintain a fun and friendly attitude and provide for a safe and clean work environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions and required to move about the Casino floor and exposed to bright lights, noise, and a non-smoke free environment.
