SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Draft Technician is to provide exceptional customer service through cleaning and maintenance of draft beer systems in assigned accounts, as scheduled. Draft Techs are expected to support sales efforts by selling new draft and package placements, and features. The following outline lists specific duties for the Draft Technician.

JOB KNOWLEDGE and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires common intelligence. Must follow oral instructions and use simple writing or mathematical skills. Up to and including three months experience
INITIATIVE AND INGENUITY
Requires the use of little judgment to follow instructions, using simple equipment in performing duties where the employee is told what to do and has little or no choice as to the procedures used in achieving results.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The demands include considerable physical effort consisting of:
MENTAL / VISUAL / AUDITORY DEMAND
Occasional mental or visual attention, where the flow of work is intermittent or the operation involves waiting for a process to complete a cycle, with intermittent checking involved. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR EQUIPMENT
Limited – has little responsibility for equipment which, under normal use and care, would not result in damages.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR MATERIAL OR PRODUCT
Works with parts/materials where inferior quality or defect would usually be detected quickly with minimal loss of material or rework time involved.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR SAFETY OF OTHERS
Constant Care necessary to prevent injury to others, due to inherent hazards of the job (use of caustic cleaning solutions that are extremely dangerous if ingested); accidents, should they occur, would be partially incapacitating in nature.
RESPONSIBLE FOR WORK OF OTHERS
Responsible for own work.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Somewhat disagreeable work conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously exposed to outside weather conditions and sometimes exposed to dust, dirt, heat, fumes, cold, noise, vibration, water, oil, etc.; with one element continuously present to the extent of being disagreeable.
HAZARDS
Injuries improbable, except minor cuts, abrasions, burns, bruises, etc. Also, use of hazardous chemicals, such as caustic cleaning solutions.

ABC Beer Permit
Clean driving record (MVR) or within company Driving Points Policy
Certification as outlined in FreshTap manual and career progression.
A job description, by its nature, can't include every aspect of the job. Because of this, any function that would reasonably fall under the responsibility of the Draft Technician is assumed and it is expected that the Draft Technician will act accordingly. The Draft Technician will be expected to perform any other task not included in this job description requested by management.
