Job Overview:

We are seeking a Cafe Assistant to join our team. As a Cafe Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized cafe environment. Responsibilities:

- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, assembling sandwiches, and preparing beverages

- Ensure all food items are properly stored and labeled

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including cleaning tables, chairs, and countertops

- Handle customer orders and provide exceptional customer service

- Operate the Square POS system to process transactions accurately

- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dishes

- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure proper food handling and sanitation

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen is preferred

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide friendly and efficient service

- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods is a plus

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

- Familiarity with square POS system is an advantage

- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
