Caerus Corp is a corporation based in Blaine, MN, that designs, manufactures, and commercializes an expansive portfolio of medical products for human and veterinary patients. Our mission is to provide life-enhancing alternatives to pharmaceutical pain management and surgical intervention. 

We are looking for a Lead Machine Operator supports and is responsible for daily production staging and machine operations. They will work closely with machine operators to ensure material and supplies are ready for the team. 

Schedule: A SHIFT: Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm, B SHIFT: Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 2:30am

Lead Machine Operator will perform all duties of Machine I&II. Coordinates with Supervisors and Management to complete scheduled Work Orders. Checks completion of Work Order accuracy. Reports all shortages, issues to management in a timely manner. Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Machine Operation equipment. Model personal Lean Philosophy 5S behaviors in creating a continuously improving, clean, well-organized, and self-maintaining work environment. Work closely with team members and others to motivate and improve 5S knowledge and implementation.

• Responsible for prepping each work order by “kitting” all necessary raw materials, often includes using cutting machines to achieve material final lengths and dimensions.
• Follows job specific work instructions to ensure parts are in accordance with specifications.
• Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications.
• Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances. 
• Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications. 
• Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces. 
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance. 
• Ensures correct parts are kept in the appropriate quantities to support production and assembly requirements.
• Performs repetitive material supply functions following detailed work direction and guidelines.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety objectives. 
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.  

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills in English required.
• Use of visual aids, verbal, and written instruction to operate machines. 
• Ability to work independently. Able to set up/troubleshoot a variety of machines. 
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers. 
• General computer skills (Microsoft Office) 
• Knowledge of Lean Principles preferred.
