Summary

This is a hands-on 3D content modeling, content engineering and basic software development role for students to develop specialized skills in an on-the-job-training (OJT) capacity while performing production modeling and engineering tasks focused on the development, test and integration of synthetic environment and geospatial content for simulation training purposes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use 3D modeling editors to create and modify 3D models
  • Use GIS editors to create and modify vector culture data
  • Use imagery editors to correct and update images
  • Use image editors to create and modify geo-typical model textures
  • Develop and/or update basic scripts and software extensions
  • Execute proprietary software tools to process and publish simulation content

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree (or higher level) college/university program majoring in an Engineering discipline, preferably Software Engineeringor Computer Science
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Must be willing to learn new procedures and applications
  • Must have good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be customer service-oriented
  • Must be willing to learn new procedures and applications
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Preferred Skills

  • Use of the Windows operating system
  • Use of the CentOS / Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system
  • Familiarity with configuration management systems

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
