Job Description:

Cadence 3 is on the lookout for a creative and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of a Set Design Intern to support our video and events teams. This summer internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the visual storytelling of our projects by designing compelling set environments that enhance the narrative and engage the audience across video productions, digital events, and in-person events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the production team to conceptualize and execute set designs that align with project themes and objectives.
• Utilize a variety of design techniques and materials to create scale models and full-size sets.
• Assist in sourcing props, furniture, and decor to bring designs to life.
• Develop and design standard set designs to be used in turnkey shoots.
• Participate in the construction and breakdown of sets, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Build a catalog of existing inventory of set assets and propose new assets to add to inventory.
• Manage inventory and organization of set design resources and materials.
• Work closely with the director and cinematographer to adjust sets for optimal camera angles and lighting.
• Contribute to the creative process with innovative ideas and solutions.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Set Design, Theatre, Film Studies, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in set design, model making, or stagecraft.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or equivalent.

• Strong artistic vision with attention to detail and conceptual thinking skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.

• Enthusiasm for exploring new ideas.
• Willingness to take on new challenges.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
