Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention is Hiring a Facility Rental Manager Near Gainesville, FL

The Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention (Cade Museum) a non-profit 501(c)3 located in Gainesville, Florida, is seeking to hire a creative, organized, and detail-oriented individual to grow our team in the role of Facility Rentals Manager. This is a full-time position in a small startup, casual entrepreneurial environment. Salary offered is commensurate with experience. There is a three-month probationary period for all new hires.

The Facility Rentals Manager is responsible for promoting and selling the facility rentals of all Cade Museum buildings, serving as the point of contact for all clients, and supervising all onsite facility rentals. The Facility Rentals Manager will report to the Sr. Manager of Guest Experience.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, and willing to jump in without hesitation when a need is observed. This is a position for a confident, dynamic, detail-oriented team player, with strong customer service, organizational and communication skills. This position requires weekend, evening, and holiday hours. Experience in the hospitality and food and beverage industry is preferred.

General Responsibilities:

  • Manage scheduling and logistics of facility rentals with internal and external partners
  • Draft contracts, collect payments, and enter event information into relevant systems, including Altru
  • Use knowledge of the available event spaces to give tours and create layouts
  • Setup and breakdown of all Cade owned equipment, including minimal AV
  • Be present for the duration of all facility rentals
  • Track, measure and communicate guest feedback regarding facility rentals
  • Update policies and procedures, forms and record keeping as deemed necessary
  • Develop and execute budget for assigned areas
  • Manage Event Assistant, interns, and volunteers for the Facility Rentals team
  • Provide support for programs and internal events as necessary
  • Other duties as necessary or assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or related discipline preferred
  • Three years of event planning experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Maintain certification in ServeSafe and TIPS
  • Must be able to life 25 pounds
  • Ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethic
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to lead and prioritize multiple tasks at a time in a dynamic environment without direct supervision
  • Must possess strong work ethic, professionalism, dependability and excellent customer support skills
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Blackbaud, Altru preferred
  • Knowledge of Social Tables, or similar platform

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 per year
