Job Title: Brace Shop Technician - Honolulu
Compensation: $17 - $18 / hour
Benefits Offered: Medical, Vision, 401(k) Match
Employment: 40 hours / week, Monday - Friday
Position Summary:
● The role of a Brace Shop Technician is to work with patients referred to our business for the fitting and education of braces and other orthotic devices. This position is responsible for providing high-quality patient care that includes the ability to communicate clearly and effectively over the phone and in-person, measuring and fitting patients with products prescribed by their physician, and maintaining an expert-level of knowledge around the products and services we offer. In addition to working with patients directly, this position must also work alongside internal Patient Care and Billing staff, Account Managers, as well as directly with Customer Account staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Patient Care Coordination
● Understand and execute a high-level patient experience with an in-depth understanding of products and fitting services
● Understand and execute order tracking procedures
● Schedule and perform patient fittings and deliveries
● Receives, resolves and/or routes incoming patient calls
● Communicate effectively within internal staff to route patient/customer escalations
Document Management and Order Intake
● Understand how orders are received by Cade Medical and are intaken via Brightree work-flow systems
● Basics of insurance billing/deductibles and how they relate to ongoing orders
● Developing well-organized daily procedures to complete work efficiently and accurately
● Work with EHR systems to acquire medical documentation needed to bill claims (EPIC, Cerner, SRS, etc.)
Physician Customer Service
● Maintain positive working relationship with physicians and their staff
● Perform inventory audits and replenishment of account stock and bills
Brace Shop Facility Upkeep
● Maintain accurate on-site inventory PARs in real time
● Ensure a clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for all who comes through
● Coordinating replenishment of office supplies with manager
General Duties
● Maintain a clean and tidy shared workspace
● Complete training assigned in the requested time frame
● Remain confidential and compliant in all patient matters in accordance to law
● Perform all other appropriate duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications:
● Previous experience in customer service or patient services required
● Must possess strong communication skills
● Organizational skills and an attention to detail are required
● DME and/or medical billing knowledge preferred
● Must meet and maintain the ethics and standards of conduct and other requirements of all accrediting organizations,
governance, and business relationships that Cade Medical does business with now and in the future
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
● Office and field based (ie: physician’s offices, hospitals, orthopedic clinics, surgery centers, Brace Shop, etc.)
● Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Office desk work will require sitting, walking, using phone and computer

● COVID-19 vaccines will be required by the customers (hospitals) we work with, and are therefore required for this position.
