Network Engineer Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US * * * CACI has an opportunity for a Network Engineer to support the Hopper Global Service Center in Suitland, MD with a wide range of network skills. This candidate should have knowledge and experience with the latest Cisco Unified Computing (UCS) Platforms and Nexus-based Data-center Switches and a strong background in computer networking and have experience with virtualization, server administration, and data storage. What You'll Get to Do: * Assist with the administration of all aspects of a global network (includes SAN, Servers, Virtualization, LAN, WAN and Clients) * Administer network equipment including routers, switches, servers, transmission media, and related hardware of the organization's network architecture and infrastructure local area and wide area networking including bandwidth management. * Monitor network performance to determine if adjustments are required.
* Administer and manage Cisco network devices * Perform network, installation, operations, management, and maintenance concepts. * Perform routine network configuration management functions. * Provide assistance to clients and customers to assess their requirements, provide information or assistance. * Identify and perform problem resolutions * Assist with the development of network backup and recovery solutions and procedures. * Travel occasionally to CONUS and OCONUS locations as needed to perform node installations or upgrades. * BS Degree (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field) and 5 years of direct experience or 7 years same experience
* CCNA or CCNP Certification
* CompTIA Security CE
* The ability to effectively communicate orally and written with customers.
