Automotive Component Repair Technician

We are seeking a skilled, motivated individual to join our team to refurbish hydraulic cylinders for convertible top automobiles. This position requires solid mechanical skills and experience, along with precise use of small hand tools, patience, and attention to detail.

We operate a clean, organized, air-conditioned repair and light manufacturing production facility. Customers send us their convertible top cylinders and pumps to be rebuilt. We replace worn components, perform the rebuild process, and ship the parts back to the customer typically within 1-3 business days.

Responsibilities

• Refurbish hydraulics cylinders using hand tools, machines, and specified equipment to perform work steps that include: disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, and testing.
• Use common measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc., to perform quality assurance on finished parts.
• Identify damaged components and work with supervisor to determine repair or replacement decision.
• Perform work-steps to meet daily production schedule and deadlines.
• Follow operating procedures and work methods to meet approved quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
• Keep workstation and common areas clean, organized, and stocked with adequate supplies.
• Make sure tools are where they belong and in good working order.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of one year working in a repair, production, assembly, or manufacturing facility.
• Manual machining experience using a lathe and/or milling machine.
