Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Installer to join our team. The Installer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various systems and equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the successful completion of projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, Install, configure, and support Layer 2 Systems within the current product offering
• See attached LII Line Card
• Complete Training of Manufacturer specific products for certification
• See attached LII Training Card
• Cross Train employees on the job and lead company training initiatives
• Report any project scope changes, issues, or concerns to assigned contacts.
• Create operation plans for Layer 2 Systems installations
• Review the proposed equipment configuration and Order to ensure a complete order package for proposed system.
• Perform operational installations and client installs and cutover
• Coordinate with purchasing to ensure equipment order is processed and equipment is available consistent with operational installation schedule.
• Configure Layer 2 Systems equipment
• Complete close-out documentation packages for projects
• Provide client training on newly installed systems
• Coordinate efforts for Maintenance & Service (M&S) Contracts on all Layer 2 Systems offerings.
• Maintain multi‐year M&S Contracts for installed equipment.
• Ensure that each M&S contract equipment is properly documented
• Ensure regular M&S obligations are properly executed
• Support Client Warranty and Maintenance & Service Contracts Operationally

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have the ability to install, terminate & test low voltage cables & fiber optical cables (to include twisted pair cable, coax, power limited tray cable, stranded & solid conductor low voltage cable, single mode & multi-mode fiber optical cables).
• Ability to follow written & verbal instructions.
• Must have a strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read Blueprints
• Must be able to use small hand tools and power tools.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
• Must have 2 to 5 years of experience in the installation of commercial audio, video, access control, or CCTV with Telecom Systems, TCP/IP Networks, CCTV Security, Access control & Wireless Solutions.
• High School Diploma or equivalent. (Vocational/Technical/Business School strongly preferred.)
• Auto CAD experience preferred
• NC Low Voltage License or ability to obtain
• CTS certification – preferred (or ability to independently obtain)
• Experience with: AMX, Crestron or Extron audio visual experience, Paxton access control experience, Vivotek CCTV
• Manufactures Certifications in IP Systems
• Equipment/Manufacturer specific certifications.
• Comprehension of terminology pertaining to installation & service of telecom, audio visual, data, security & wireless systems.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
• Working knowledge of NEC and BICSI standards
• IP Networking Experience

Physical Requirements:

• Heavy physical effort (usually lifting/moving up to 100 pounds).
• Climbing of stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds with and without loads.
• Ability to work from heights such as man lifts, scissor lifts & rooftops, utilizing proper fall protection.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
