Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is looking for an Imaging Assistant to join the Imaging department!The Imaging Assistant is responsible for providing clerical, secretarial, and receptionist support for the Imaging Department. This position answers phone calls, files, faxes, copies, schedules patient appointments, checks in patients, pulls charts, enters and closes billing charges, obtains valid physician referrals, makes reminder phone calls, prints schedules, and performs other duties as assigned. The Imaging Assistant functions as a resource for all staff, modalities, radiologist, patients, and is stationed at the front desk to greet customers. This position participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in continuous quality improvement activities. The Imaging Assistant participates in all departmental training and safety programs as required.
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
Must be able to function and excel in a team environment and relate positively and favorably to staff, patients, visitors, families, and physicians.
Must possess effective communication and writing skills.
Must possess computer skills in order to use e-mail, Word, Excel, Power Point, internet, electronic medical records, PACS system, etc.
Education Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience
This could be an entry-level position; however, some medical clerical experience in a hospital, medical clinic, rehabilitative services department/facility or nursing home is preferred.
Schedule
Full time hours, per unit needs.
