Cabarrus Funeral, Cremation & Cemetery is Hiring a Funeral Director Near Concord, NC

Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated, full-time Funeral Director to join our growing team. In this role, your primary focus will be on helping individuals and families in making their final arrangements. From working with clients over the phone and in person, to lead generation efforts through various marketing and advertising methods and campaigns that are launched, this is truly a position in which you can leverage your excellent client-facing skills, leadership abilities, and knowledge of the funeral business. It's also a role with potential to earn, grow, and move up within the company.

Duties:
- Meet with grieving families to discuss funeral arrangements and provide emotional support
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral services, including visitations, ceremonies, and burials
- Assist families in selecting appropriate caskets, urns, vaults, and other funeral merchandise
- Coordinate with clergy, cemetery personnel, and other service providers to ensure seamless execution of funeral services
- Handle administrative tasks such as preparing legal documents, obtaining permits, and managing financial transactions

- Making outbound calls and setting appointments
- Provide bereavement support to families after the funeral service

- Prepare bodies for viewing, embalming or cremation, ensuring proper preservation and presentation (optional)

Skills:
- Excellent client-facing skills

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to successfully lead a team

- Strong sales skills to assist families in making informed decisions regarding funeral arrangements

- Proficiency in event planning and organization
- Ability to provide compassionate bereavement support to grieving families
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for clients
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks such as body preparation or moving caskets

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Ability to work successfully within a close-knit team environment

- Discipline, motivation, and a self-start attitude towards your career

- Understanding of cosmetology techniques for post-mortem preparation (optional)

Requirements:
- Valid North Carolina Funeral Director license/certification (FD or FSL)
- Prior experience in funeral directing for 5 years

- Sales experience with proven sales results and successful lead generation abilities

- Working knowledge of funeral rules for both pre-need and at-need situations
- Extreme attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent moral character, ethics, and values and an unblemished license and employment history

- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and drug test

- Reliable transportation and reliable child care and/or elder care (if applicable)

- Willingness to work a 40-hour work week, including occasional weekends and evenings
