Under general supervision, performs a variety of tasks to assist with student supervision and COVID related tasks. Employee may perform tasks to support the efforts of school administrators and teachers to ensure quality instruction and safety for all students.
Qualification Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, have a clear criminal record

Position

• Time-limited: September 2021- June 9, 2022
• Temporary - no benefits
• Student Days Only
• 5.5 hours per day

• Ability to administer teacher lesson plans.

• Ability to assist students with understanding of rules and regulations.
• Ability to maintain proper professional conduct.
• Ability to perform general clerical duties.
• Ability to keep in confidence all personal, student or personnel records and information.
• Ability to maintain order and discipline in a classroom.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments.
• General knowledge of student handbook rules.
• General knowledge of procedures to follow in the event of an emergency
• General knowledge of the principles of organization and administration.
• General knowledge of daily routines of the classroom.

Salary

• $20.00 per hour

Reports to
School Principal
Essential Functions

• Provides student supervision.
• Assists with COVID related tasks.
• Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues, supervisors, and students.
• Constantly monitors the safety and well-being of students; monitors student attitudes and encourages self-esteem; assists students with becoming increasingly independent.
• Monitors student behavior and helps maintain discipline in and out of the classroom.
• Maintains, as fully as possible, the established routines and procedures of the school.
• Assumes the responsibilities for instructing classes when a teacher is absent.
• Assumes other responsibilities for that teacher during the time the teacher is absent.
• Assumes responsibility for overseeing student behavior in class, during lunch, and other activities.
• Follows all district and individual school policies, rules and procedures.
• Performs other duties as deemed appropriate and assigned by the School Administrator.

Physical Requirements

• This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force.
• Work regularly requires speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel and repetitive motions, frequently requires sitting and occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, pushing, or pulling and lifting.
• Work has standard vision requirements.
• Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
• Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels.
• Work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operating machines, operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities.
• Work occasionally requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
• Work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
