About the Role:

Castle's IT team is searching for an IT Administrator/Technician with diverse experience and skill sets in IT and warehouse operations support. This position is based out of our Groveport, Ohio warehouse. We are a modern, cloud-first company with all of our systems and infrastructure in the cloud. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for smooth operations of our warehouse operations and provide IT support to our employees and contractors.
What you'll do:
  • Organize, install, and support Distribution Center computer systems.
  • Install all network hardware and software and make needed upgrades and repairs
  • Maintain network and computer system security and ensure that all systems are operating correctly and in compliance with security policies
  • Collect data to evaluate and optimize network or system performance
  • Add users to the network and assign and update security permissions on the network
  • Train users in the proper use of hardware and software
  • Interpret and solve problems when a user or an automated monitoring system alerts problems
  • Manage desktop and mobile equipment
  • Ensure that email and data storage networks work properly
  • Make sure that employees' workstations are working efficiently and stay connected to the central computer network and telecommunication network
  • Participate in decisions about acquiring future hardware or software to upgrade the organization's network.
  • Provide technical support to computer users
  • Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor(s).
  • Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
  • Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.

We'd love for you to have:

  • 3 plus years of IT experience in a support role
  • Experience with macOS & Windows OS as well as RMM tools such like JAMF and MAAS360
  • Knowledge of handheld RF devices and how to support them
  • Printer support experience with office & label printers
  • Understand workflow tools like JIRA and Confluence
  • Familiar with warehouse management tools such as Manhattan
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
  • Clear communication skills
  • Discretion in handling confidential information
  • Be able to provide support to our employees remotely
  • Ability to work independently
  • Understanding of identity management & application access with OKTA
