Responsibilities:

1. Supportability Tech Lead: Act as a technical lead for networking issues related to Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and various Anthos platforms, including Anthos Service Mesh and GDC Edge Kubernetes clusters.
2. Networking Configuration and Management: Configure and manage Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) networking components such as Application Load Balancing (External & Internal), Cloud CDN, Cloud DNS, Cloud Domains, Cloud VPN, Cloud Interconnect, Cloud Router, and other related services.
3. Load Balancing: Implement and manage various load balancing solutions including Internal TCP/UDP Proxy Load Balancing, TCP/SSL Proxy Load Balancing, Traffic Director, Internal TCP/UDP Passthrough Load Balancing, Network Load Balancing, and ensure high availability and scalability of applications.
4. Service Mesh and SDN: Deploy and maintain service mesh solutions like Anthos Service Mesh and SDN technologies for efficient traffic management and network security.
5. Storage Solutions: Utilize and administer storage services such as Cloud Storage, Cloud Filestore, and Storage Transfer Service to ensure data availability, integrity, and optimal performance.
6. Networking Security: Implement and maintain security measures such as Cloud Armor, Certificate Manager, Cloud IDS, Firewall Plus / Cloud IDP, and Secure Web Proxy to safeguard network infrastructure and applications.
7. Monitoring and Optimization: Utilize tools like VPC Flow Logs (Network Telemetry), Network Intelligence Center, and personalized service health monitoring to proactively identify and resolve networking issues, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with service level objectives (SLOs).
8. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and system administrators to design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure networking solutions that meet business requirements.
9. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document networking configurations, best practices, and troubleshooting procedures, and provide guidance and training to internal teams and customers as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing networking solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), with a focus on load balancing, DNS, and VPC networking.
• Hands-on experience with GKE, Anthos, and related containerization technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, security principles, and best practices.
• Experience with storage solutions such as Cloud Storage, Cloud Filestore, and Storage Transfer Service is a plus.
• Google Cloud certification(s) such as Professional Cloud Network Engineer or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
