Part Time Job or Paid Internship - Onsite Teacher

COMPENSATION: $40-$75 PER SHIFT (2.5 - 5 hour shifts)

Cyberteck Academy is a company offering tutoring services and computer services for students grade 1-7th and youth and Adult IT certifications courses. We are doing business with over hundreds schools in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

No previous experience is required!PAID TRAINING and curricula are provided!This is a great job for college students or part-time job seekers interested in gaining teaching experience and learning more about this exciting field.Classes meet once a week at each school and run for 6 to 8 weeks.Only a minimum of 2 days a week required!

For FFX Hours fall between 3:30pm-6:30pm while for PWC hours fall between 2:45pm-5:00pm with shifts lasting approximately 3.5 hours in that range (depending on school locations)

Classes will start in September 2023 and training will be in August

There is Saturday classes available from 8:15am-11am US EST or 9:45 am-12pm US EST.

For Maryland hours fall between 1:30pm - 6PM on weekdays & 8 am -12pm on Saturdays.

Preference will be given to candidates who can work 3 days a week especially in HOCO

Teach technology classes at schools in one (or more) of the following VA/MD/DC counties/cities:

Loudoun | Fairfax | Prince William | DC | Montgomery | Howard | Prince George’s | Frederick

MUST HAVE OWN VEHICLE TO TRANSPORT LAPTOPS AND RELATED EQUIPMENT

DUTIES:

Pick up equipment from our local facility and travel to assigned school

Show up ON TIME - we are responsible for children

Set up laptops and related equipment for 8-12 children

Teach Minecraft Programming, Game Design, and/or Lego Robotics classes

Ensure students safely leave with appropriate parents or staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiar with video and/or computer games

Enjoys working with and teaching kids between 5 and 14 years of age

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Must be able to work well independently

Must be able to pass a criminal and sex offender background check

• PLUS but not required - some experience with basic programming, Minecraft, Lego Robotics, or any 3D modeling software
• PLUS but not required - some child-care, teaching and/or tutoring experience

This is a paid internship or part-time SEASONAL position.Paid training will be available for new employees the first month of each season.
