Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our team. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. You will develop and implement lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide feedback to promote academic growth.
Duties:
- Create and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special education needs
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Assess student performance through tests, quizzes, and assignments
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic development
- Collaborate with other teachers to develop instructional materials and strategies
- Utilize learning technology to enhance student learning experiences
- Incorporate instructional design principles into lesson planning
- Edit and provide feedback on student writing assignments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Score 700 on SAT reading and writing
- Score 4 or 5 on AP Literature and AP English Language
- Strong knowledge of English grammar, literature, and writing techniques
- Familiarity with learning technology and instructional design principles
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students in 3:1 ratio
