C0540 GFL Plant Services LP is Hiring a Financial Analyst Near Sugar, TX

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for reviewing/creating monthly journal entries in accordance with the monthly close. Assist in maintaining the integrity of the financial statements. Review monthly close data and operational financial statements. Provide support to the Regional Controller and the branches within the area. Work closely with branch and division personnel and assist them with any queries. Job Description Key Responsibilities: • Review specific monthly journal entries • Create monthly journal entries for monthly/quarterly/annual close for assigned cost centers • Provide detailed financial analysis for cost centers-analyzing past and present financial data • Provide budget/financial analysis/support for cost centers as required • Work with Area and Branch personnel to acquire monthly close data in a timely manner • Maintain Monthly Reconciliation Matrix and ensure all reconciliations are compiled, reviewed, and filed • Help ensure compliance with internal controls that protect Company assets, including cash, inventory, and fixed assets • Work with staff members to ensure timely data input, understanding of Requirements/due dates • Help Assistant Operations Controller with end of monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including review and analysis of cost center financial statements • Work on special projects as needed • Work on Acquisition due diligence as needed • Seek ways to maximize efficiency while maintaining the accuracy and reliability of work Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies: • 4-year degree from a college or university with a focus on accounting • 5-8 years of accounting experience • Strong working knowledge of GAAP • Combination of education and/or experience • Strong analytical and spreadsheet modeling skills • Strong problem-solving skills • Effective oral and written communication skills • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask to meet tight deadlines • Ability to work independently and exercise good decision-making We thank you for your interest.
