Adequate Staffing Levels Identifies oncoming shifts staffing needs and initiates action that assists in procuring adequate levels of staffing within their control. Rounding Performs regular rounding for outcomes on patients and staff. End of Shift Reports Prepares and delivers the end of shift reports to oncoming shift Charge Nurse. Patient Needs Data Collection Prioritizes data collection activities based on the patients immediate condition or anticipated needs. Compliance Remains current in and compliant with new developments and technology in areas of responsibility including documentation, medication administration, and monitoring systems. Knowledge of Standards Utilizes knowledge of federal, state and accreditation standards and regulations in the unit setting.
