WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Staffing Level Management Reviews staffing patterns, unit activity, and available resources; communicates staffing information to the Patient Care Services Leadership Team and recommends cost-effective strategies in accordance with established guidelines to ensure appropriate staffing levels and available resources. Staff Feedback Communication Gathers and communicates staff responses and improvement suggestions to management in order to improve the efficiency of services. Staffing Outcomes Evaluates clinical, quality and economic staffing outcomes, and consolidates the information to provide staffing data to the Patient Care Services Leadership Team. Policy & Procedure Development Collaborates with the Policy and Procedure Committee to develop, implement, monitor and revise departmental policies, procedures, and programs to ensure departmental effectiveness. Patient Care Manager's Collaboration Collaborates with the Patient Care Managers in staffing units to determine staffing patterns guidelines, unit activity, and available resources. Patient Placement Plan Monitors census and initiates Patient Placement Plan for both High Census and Low Census according to policy and procedure. Problem Solving Identifies and resolves problems promptly to ensure the proper balance of staff on assigned shift and appropriate staffing levels. Payroll Enters, records, and manages payroll for unallocated staff to ensure accurate and timely pay for staff. Staffing Activities Implements staffing activities that cost-effectively utilizes staff on both campuses.
