WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Select, assemble, and check all associated sleep lab equipment for proper function, operation, cleanliness and troubleshooting in accordance with OSHA guidelines/infection control in order to provide a safe customer environment. Perform maintenance/troubleshooting of sleep lab equipment. Score sleep studies according to standard Rechtschaffen and Kales Sleep Scoring Manual. Monitor patients throughout the sleep study and document observations, collect data from various monitors and report information to the Physician. CPAP titration and oxygen therapy when applicable. WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED Interact with others in a calm, friendly and caring manner. High attention to detail. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Tactfully handle situations as they occur in dealing with patient, patient’s families, physicians and other health care team members. QUALIFICATIONS Preferred Associate's Degree Required High School Diploma/GED 1 year Respiratory Care or related field (such as EEG) Preferred Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Sleep Disorder Specialist (SDS) - .
