Title:Project Specialist/Technical Writer

Location: Virtual/Remote - 10-20% travel
Salary: Up to $25.50/hour
Hours: 7a-330p

What Will I Be Doing?

Job Purpose and Impact:

The Project Specialist will develop and maintain technical copy for procedures, lockout tag outs, training manuals, user guides or other publications applicable to manufacturing technology. In this role, you will utilize basic and developing knowledge of systems that control documentation along with traceability of learning and training activities. You will utilize standard methodologies and consistent processes by including analytical, microbiological, technical writing, human organization performance and process knowledge.

Key Accountabilities

  • Build and maintain technical content.
  • Apply a developing understanding of technical writing practices and skills, help and support sites on technical writing projects in compliance with international organizations for standardization standards.
  • Partner and work with senior leadership to identify products, processes, or concepts to be documented and establish standards and formats for corporate documentation.
  • Implement processes and procedures for ensuring that documentation is complete, accurate and current.
  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:

  • Team member must be able to work remotely, with periodic site visits as required. When on site must be work in a team oriented, safety conscious environment. "Safety First" expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, adherence to all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Must have working knowledge of the following: food grade processing equipment, grain/oil seed handling equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic systems etc. Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications and SAP CMMS (PdM) work procedures using the EMS and OEM manuals for fixed and rotating assets as
  • Populate reports on progress assets as required.
  • Ensures compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Meet physical requirements of the job. Physical requirements of the job will be provided to you prior to employment.
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.
  • Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned as needed relative to this position.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree: in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience: One year of related work experience.
  • Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30 hour preferred but not required
  • Strong problem solving and analytic skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and learn in a changing work environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Experience with Accelerator KMS.
