Overview

The Manager, IMS will lead their organization to collaborate with the engineering team supporting all day-to-day broadband and access operations and strategic planning. This will encompass all software upgrades, access utilization capacity, and operational readiness testing and acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) platform, ensuring its optimal performance, reliability, and adherence to industry standards.
• Monitor IMS performance and reliability, proactively identifying and addressing any issues or bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with engineering, network infrastructure, and IT teams to integrate IMS solutions into the existing network architecture.
• Implement and enforce security measures to protect IMS infrastructure from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures, related to IMS infrastructure and operations.
• Stay up to date on emerging technologies and trends in IMS and telecommunications, evaluating their potential impact on our operations and strategy.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IMS services.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, computer science, engineering, or a related field required; advance degree preferred.
  • Strong technical expertise in IMS protocols, including SIP, RTP, Diameter, and related technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing teams and driving projects to successful completion.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on delivering practical solutions in a faced environment.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage. multiple initiatives/projects in execution of daily operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge: ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding.
• PREFERRED
  • 5 years of experience in telecommunications, with a focus on IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) technologies is strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to work evenings and weekends in an on call/emergency environment. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer. Some travel may be required.
