Position Overview The Produce Clerk is responsible for receiving, processing, preparing, wrapping, slicing, weighing, marking, and packaging product, as well as stocking shelves, maintaining a clean department, and providing attentive and friendly customer service.

Job Description Description Process, prepare and package produce in accordance with company policies and all Federal, State, and Local regulations Perform necessary rotation of products to ensure the freshest produce available for the customers Maintain shelves and cases properly by stocking, cleaning, straightening, and watering Ensure proper cooler, preparation area, and sales floor conditions Maintain adequate produce supply Fulfill customer orders for items such as fruit platters and baskets Travel Required : No Environment Store : Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F) Skills Specialized Knowledge : Knowledge of produce items preferred.

  • Special Skills : Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions; Possess basic computer skills; Excellent vision;
  • Ability to provide courteous and friendly customer service Physical abilities : : Frequent amounts of pulling / pushing loads up to 50 lb, stooping, and hearing;

Constant amounts of walking, lifting / carrying loads up to 70 lb, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, tasting, and smelling Other : : Ability to operate : Knives, Computerized Scales, Pallet Jack, Wrapping Machine, Case Cutter, Marking Gun, Baler / Compactor Years Of Experience 0-2 : Some experience in retail or customer service preferred.
