Client Accounting Alternative Fee Agreements AnalystOur client is seeking a Client Accounting Alternative Fee Agreements Analyst to join the Firm. This position will be based in the New York office (hybrid). In this role, you will review and analyze documents and data, execute projects, capture data and synthesize and present information regarding Alternative Fee Agreements to partners and senior management to meet the evolving needs of the Firm. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Analyzes documentation and data to create and manage database records summarizing alternative fee agreements (AFAs); performs ongoing maintenance of related database.
Works cross-functionally, joining data from various sources, interpreting findings, and summarizing within the context of legal services provided.
Monitors and analyzes performance of individual matters and portfolios of business against established budgets, revenue, and realization.
Responsible for leveraging precedent and historical data to problem solve and support effective decision making with a solutions oriented approach
Prepares fee proposals based on the nature of services and type of fee arrangement.
Compiles and analyzes historical data, identifies trends, and recommends optimal fee structures to offer services profitably.
Comprehends and responds to inquiries, providing relevant knowledge and support to the executive management of the Firm in a manner that demonstrates strategic thinking and facilitates the implementation of AFAs.
Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
Manages Firm resources responsibly.
Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies, and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Demonstrates critical thinking skills
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills
Knowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs
Strong Excel background and experience with relational databases, with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
Ability to interact professionally and collegially with all individuals within the Firm
Operates well within a fast-paced and multi-constituent framework
Manages time and priorities well to meet deadlines
Demonstrates flexibility and initiative with respect to handling multiple projects and shifting priorities
Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
Ability to actively listen, read, interpret, and follow instructions

Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment
Ability to establish relationships handle sensitive matters, and maintain confidentiality

Experience/Education
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of three years’ related experience
Candidates with Aderant (or similar management software) experience and those with professional services operational model experience are strongly preferred

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.Salary Details$95,000 - $105,000
