Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, shoot, and edit video content that aligns with the Navy's strategic communication goals and public affairs initiatives, ensuring high-quality visual storytelling that effectively conveys key messages to targeted audiences.
Collaborate closely with the communications team to develop video project concepts, storyboards, and scripts that meet the organization's objectives and enhance its visibility and engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.
Operate a variety of video production equipment, including cameras, drones, lighting, and audio gear, ensuring all content is captured with technical precision and creative flair.
Manage the post-production process, including editing, color grading, sound mixing, and adding graphics or special effects, to produce polished and compelling final products.
Coordinate logistics for video shoots, including location scouting, securing necessary permits, and scheduling interviews or scenes, to ensure smooth and efficient production workflows.
Maintain an organized digital archive of video footage, projects, and related assets, ensuring easy access for future use or reference.
Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in video production technology and techniques, continually enhancing skills and incorporating innovative approaches into video projects.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or five years of professional experience in broadcasting, video production, or audio-visual related field.
Experience and video editing/ production using Adobe premiere/ Final Cut Pro.
Demonstrated experience with multi cameras location setup and shooting.
Provide comprehensive video production support to NAVSEA for ongoing strategic communication needs.
Must be able to interact and partner with senior leadership.
Must be able to provide creative solutions and products to support command information and messaging using interviews with organizational leadership as a starting point.
