Job purpose

The Warehouse Driver position is responsible for the safe operation of company vehicles for the purpose of maintaining required inventory levels; accountable for the safe work practices; promote and implement the company's core values and excellence in customer service; responsible for maintaining strong relationships with internal customers. Also, responsible for the general preventative maintenance in the warehouse and office, safety and warehouse compliance reporting, minor repairs.

Duties and responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to multiple site locations as well as other designated areas.
• Responsible for maintaining proper care of company vehicle to prevent equipment down time.
• Perform equipment safety checks (i.e. check oil, lights, water, tires, etc.) pre-trip and post trip inspections.
• Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle.
• Load and unload items for the purposes of distributing shipment to assigned site locations and/or individuals.
• Assist in Shipping Department which includes: loading the cartons in the correct trucks, UPS and/or FedEx driver support, shipping department daily closing procedures, etc. for the purposes supporting completion of work activities.
• Responsible for removal and hauling trash to specified locations.
• Maintain the company's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Operate scan gun and maintain inventory counts.
• When not driving, the warehouse driver will assist with warehouse duties as needed to include general maintenance and inspection on equipment for warehouse such as forklifts, pallet jacks, handcarts, safety harnesses, etc.
• Performs office maintenance support and repairs.
• Supports maintaining a safe working environment and focuses on safe work habits.
• Maintains a focus for self and team on continuous learning that will enhance skill sets and growth opportunities.

• Must possess CDL/evidence of insurability /good driving record

• Ability to obtain medical certification for interstate driving, vehicle size 10,001-26,001 pounds
• Computer skills desired for operating warehouse management system (WMS)

Physical requirements

• A high school diploma and/or equivalent experience
• 2 years of warehouse experience, preferred
• Must possess CDL/evidence of insurability /good driving record
• Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle
• Ability to obtain medical certification for interstate driving, vehicle size 10,001-26,001 pounds
• Computer skills desired for operating warehouse management system (WMS)
