We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Janitorial Equipment Mechanic responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of janitorial equipment to keep our facilities in optimal working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on janitorial equipment such as floor scrubbers, sweepers, buffers, carpet cleaners, and vacuum systems.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
Troubleshoot and address equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Replace or repair damaged components, including belts, hoses, motors, bearings, and electrical systems.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used, ensuring thorough documentation for future reference.
Collaborate with the internal team to coordinate equipment maintenance schedules and ensure the timely completion of tasks.
Assist in the procurement of replacement parts and maintain an organized inventory of essential components.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Has familiarity with Sanitaire upright vacuums, advance side by side machines and blowers.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a janitorial equipment mechanic or similar role.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as computerized diagnostic equipment.
Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and inventory.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills to interact with team members and provide guidance when needed.
