The Global Payments team is building a platform to provide cross-border payment solutions for all ByteDance's products and services, such as TikTok, Helo, Games, Education, etc.
The Payment Compliance team in Global Payments is mainly responsible for building user identity verification (Know Your Customer or KYC) for payment compliance, integrating with external vendors as well as building in-house capabilities to provide transaction screening services, working closely with data and algorithm teams to identify suspicious transactions against money laundry and other fraudulent activities, etc.
We are looking for a seasoned tech lead manager to lead the payment compliance development. You will have the opportunity to partner closely with globalized engineering and product teams in a high-impact and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Participate in payment compliance product development, to provide the best payment experience to billions of users across globe
2. Manage project priorities and product deliverables, drive technical initiatives from execution to landing
3. Partner with cross-function teams to drive product vision and engineering roadmap
4. Team management, including hiring, providing career growth guidance, coaching and training
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline with more than 5 years of working experience
2. Experience in building modern payment systems, familiar with payment risk and compliance domain, social networks, and creator monetization is a plus
3. Proficient in one or multiple programming languages, e.g. Go, C/C , Java, Python, etc.
4. Experience in distributed systems, backend API development, and related fields
5. Good product sense, experience in building large-scale consumer-facing product
6. Excellent communication and collaboration
