Until Filled Head Dance Team Coaching position
The Byron High School Dance Team is looking for a head coach. This coach will have the opportunity to guide and direct the team in practices and competitions. The coach will place emphasis on individual dancer development and growth over the length of the dance season. Practices occur at the Community Education Center.
Responsibilities:

• Program development grades 7-12, lends support to the activities department, and to the vision and mission of the district.

• Assists in the evaluation of assistant coaches and submits recommendations in writing.
• Directs pre-season meetings with parents, athletes and coaches as well as in-season staff and athlete meetings.

Qualifications:

• Minnesota Department of Education valid coaching certification or valid certificate from the National Federation Coaches Education Program.
• Experience as a coach or as a participant in the sport.
• Must have sound knowledge and background of the sport they are coaching.
• Must be able to relate to student-athletes in a positive manner and be a good role model.
