Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and reliable Security Guard that has the capability of being a K9 handler to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and employees. Your primary duty will be to monitor premises, prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules, and ensure the safety of all individuals on site. K-9 unit responsibility increases the amount of attention, detail, and decision making. Our mission is to be the best and set the standard!

Duties:
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure security
- Monitor premises of property
- Investigate and report any suspicious activities or incidents
- Enforce property rules and regulations
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors
- Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as needed
- Write detailed incident reports

Qualifications:

-Military/Law Enforcement Background

-K9 handling/training experience

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Valid CPR and First Aid certification

- Proven experience in security or related field preferred

-Strong conflict management skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations

- Basic computer skills for report writing purpose

-No Felonies or animal abuse charges

Skills:
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques
- Familiarity with law enforcement procedures
- Proficient in surveillance techniques
- Ability to conduct criminal investigations

Things to know:

-All guards will be supplied with a uniform and other required equipment

-All guards must have a vehicle and be able to transport K9s to job sites

- All guards must be willing to travel

-All guards understand 90% of work is late or overnight shifts, you sleep on the job your fired instantly

-All guards understand most sites you will be working alone

-All guards need to have a Denver guard card at their own expense prior to employment. After employment Byers K9 Services will take care of the future renewal fees.

-All guards understand that they work year around in all different types of weather conditions

-Training pay is less then work pay

-Work pay and hours vary, but minimum is $20.00 per hour

-Security work is contract based and hours are dependent on work available
